A Delightful Day Out at Bath City Farm for Meryton Place Residents

A Delightful Day Out at Bath City Farm for Meryton Place Residents

Residents from Meryton Place Care Home recently enjoyed a wonderful and memorable trip to Bath City Farm, taking in the fresh air, beautiful surroundings, and the joy of being close to nature.

The group, including Nancy, Clive, Rosemary, and Joan, spent a relaxing afternoon enjoying hot drinks and cake while admiring the stunning views across Bath. The peaceful setting provided the perfect opportunity to unwind, chat, and enjoy each other’s company.

A highlight of the visit was the chance to meet and interact with a variety of friendly animals. Residents were delighted to hold and stroke chickens and ducks, and to see ponies and alpacas up close, an experience that brought plenty of smiles and excitement throughout the day.

The visit was especially meaningful for many of the residents. Rosemary described the experience as “extraordinary,” while Joan shared that it was “a really nice day, relaxing and comfortable, and the animals were lovely.” Nancy also had a particularly special moment, choosing a bird feeder to take home as a reminder of the day.

Time spent outdoors proved uplifting and enjoyable for everyone involved, with residents clearly appreciating the opportunity to connect with nature in such a calm and welcoming environment.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all the volunteers at Bath City Farm for their kindness, patience, and enthusiasm. Their support helped make the visit so special, and it was greatly appreciated by everyone from Meryton Place.

A truly joyful day of community, nature, and meaningful experiences at Meryton Place Care Home.
